I started the keto diet in the middle of June. Since I was retiring from teaching, I had the time to concentrate on my overall health, which included losing weight. My goal is to shed 50 pounds in one year. It’s now the end of August and I have lost 18 pounds. If I lose a pound a week, I’m happy!
In the morning, I don’t eat breakfast. Instead, I’m doing an intermittent fast and will not eat until around 2:00 in the afternoon. This is something I could never have done while teaching. Perhaps, if I were younger…maybe.
In the morning, I start with a scoop of Dr. Berg’s organic raw wheat grass juice powder mixed in an 8 ounce glass of water. Then, I wait 30 minutes before sipping on some apple cider vinegar tea. This tea is very easy to make. You will need on tablespoon of the vinegar mixed in 4 ounces of hot water. After consuming this tea, I wait around 10 minutes to drink an 8 ounce glass of water mixed with a scoop of super collagen. Finally, I take one magnesium tablet.
Before I begin my walk, I do a few stretches. On most days, I will walk an hour to an hour and half. Before I began the keto diet, I had a difficult time walking. There was no way I could possibly walk more than twenty minutes. Now, thanks to eating right, I am always on the move.
